Lisa Di Palma

General Secretary

I have been involved with grassroots football for 23 years  with my Club Tigers and this is my 18th season with the Echo League.  There have been plenty of tears & tantrums over the years but I love both roles.  I started with my club as the the Social Secretary the following season I took over as Club Secretary and am very proud that I took the club from 3 teams to the 54 we are running now, that is inclusive of boys, girls, Ladies, adult men's and new last season disability sessions.  My league role started with taking on the officer role for the U14's which I undertook for 7 seasons before moving on to work beside Iris as Assistant officer and Disciplinary Officer which until September I was still doing until Iris Fraser existing General Secretary stood down and I was nominated to take on her position a role that at the moment I am still enjoying but still early days. I have made so many friends for life along the way and sadly lost a few.  I am proud that i have always managed to separate my league hat with my club hat and I would challenge anyone that thinks differently as I can hold my head high and say my club has never been favoured due to my position on the league and that is the same for all my officers that also run clubs everything is always done fairly and we have no inout where our clubs are concerned.  I do feel with my managers that they suffer if anything as am very hard on them to do things right due to my position on the league.  I would like to think I am approachable and happy to discuss things through with anyone and take on new ideas.  Looking forward to my first season as General Secretary.

Paul Dickinson

Chairman

In 1998 while I was Secretary at Heath Park JFC I was asked if I would like to join the Echo League as U13 Divisional Officer. I eventually took over as Chairman until 2011. I then went to the Romford & District adult League for 5 years where I held various posts. In 2016 I was asked if I would consider returning as Chairman, and as a League Life Member I could hardly refuse.
I have been involved in grassroots football now for over 30 years and with 2 grandsons playing, I am out and about most Sundays.
A League as large as ours would not be able to function without its volunteers, and I am so thankful that we have such a fantastic team on this committee.
