The position recruited by the school is a product designer. From this name, we can guess that our job content only includes the process of obtaining requirements → demand analysis → prototyping, so it is not a email list real product manager. However, during this period, I have mastered the product design methodology accumulated by the company for more than 20 years (including original requirements → target user analysis → stakeholder analysis → competitive product analysis → scenario analysis → function list → prototyping) and related processes and specifications. The product design ability has laid a solid foundation. Later, because of repeated product design, I felt that the improvement was very slow, so I quit after two years.
3. Second job: Free yourself
Since I have been working on education informatization for the first two years, and I am optimistic about this direction, I am looking for a second job in the education industry.
I joined a startup company in Chengdu that provides dual-teacher live English class solutions for public primary and secondary schools. But before half a year, the company encountered the epidemic, and the company transformed itself into a remote admissions system for colleges and universities. It has been almost three years since I did this, and I have achieved good results (if there are readers who have studied and re-examined online in the past few years, they may be using the system I designed).
There are three reasons why this stage is called "freeing oneself". One is that the start-up company does not have as many norms and systems as large companies (in the first company, the design plan must first be reviewed by the team leader, and then given to the team leader. The lead review, and finally the product VP review), here my leader is the CTO, and I have a great say in product design, which provides me with a lot of trial and error costs; the second is that with the deepening of the project, I need to be responsible for all aspects of the product and start to really become a product manager.
